Lucia Masaracchia
Lucia Masaracchia is a writer of short stories, novels, essays, and poetry who enjoys playing with the intersection of reality and fiction through prose that echoes magic realism, light dystopia, and contemporary and philosophical fiction. She writes daily and has been doing so since 2012 when a physical disaster led her to pour all of the stories that had been swirling in her head for most of her life onto paper. It was the happiest of tragedies as the end result was the passionate devotion to the written word and art as a whole.
Masaracchia has been published in La Piccioletta Barca, a literary arts magazine, and Mycoepithalamia, a poetry publication. She has been a writing consultant for over twenty years and has helped thousands of young writers grow in their craft, specifically in providing them guidance with personal narratives.
She has recently finished her debut novel, Basta, and is hoping to get it traditionally published this year. Her next novel, A Swallow's Tale, is sitting on the horizon with wide eyes, waiting to be written. She is a lover of language, culture, and humanity, and hopes to inspire curiosity in her readers while provoking independent thought and the questioning of social norms.
